Abstract

The Inex Round Bottle Inspector (RBI) Series 143 is a highly efficient and simple method of detecting and removing improperly formed glassware from a bottle processing conveyor. The RBI 143 is designed to provide positive on line inspection of newly manufactured bottles and a means of removing defective bottles from the flow. It consists of a compact group of components that can be mounted around a bottle processing conveyor, on the cold end. with a minimum of interference to the normal production flow of bottles. The inspection is performed by utilizing three cameras developed by Inex especially for the examination of glassware. The 100 % solid state design has proven to be the most effective available. While the greatest attention has been given to the detection and rejection of birdswings, other flaws, such as stones and laps, can also be detected and rejected.

Die Inspektion besorgen drei Spezialkameras, von INEX eigens für die Glasprüfung entwickelt. Die Kameraelektronik, zu 100 % in Festkörperausführung, ist das leistungsstärkste, was es gibt. Auf die Erkennung und Beseitigung von Flaschen mit Affenschaukeln wurde besonders großer Wert gelegt. Aber auch andere Fehler, wie Steine und Falten, entgehen dem automatischen Prüfer nicht.
