dc.description.abstract1. State of the Art in Science and Technology: The IMA is a core product of Diehl Aerospace (DAs), which, together with its shareholder Thales, has already successfully integrated this technology into civilian Airbus aircraft. The work built upon the results of the predecessor project, TEWES, as well as DAs’ expertise in the field of IMA. 2. Objectives of the Study: The objective was to further develop a modular control and monitoring platform for fuel cell, cooling, and supply systems in future hydrogen-based aircraft propulsion systems. The focus was on increasing the technology’s maturity level, ensuring scalability to power ranges of 1.2–1.5 MW, and preparing for future aviation regulatory certification. 3. Methods: Development was carried out using model-based methods with an automated toolchain featuring MATLAB/Simulink-based code generation. Hardware, software, and configuration tools were further developed, simulated, and verified. In addition, certification concepts were developed in accordance with aviation-relevant standards. 4. Results: Development of a certification concept for the control computer platform and the development toolchain. The computer platform was successfully adapted and verified for laboratory and future flight test applications. The automated toolchain for creating configurations and software was expanded, and its functionality was demonstrated. In addition, simulation and modeling environments were developed, along with concepts for future SoF applications. 5. Conclusion: DAs considers the results from SKAiB to be promising for the efficient and flexible development and deployment of future IMA devices. By optimizing the toolchain to enable users to efficiently utilize the technology for configuration creation, the groundwork has been laid for more efficient and automated application development for control and regulation software.eng
