Abstract
Within the collaborative project Werk4.0, a real-world laboratory for resilient and flexibly adaptable production systems was established. The subproject focused on the development of technologies for autonomous mobile robots (AGVs/AMRs) to enable intelligent and adaptive material transport in dynamic manufacturing environments. Key areas of work included the advancement of vehicle hardware, safety drive control systems, power supply and charging technologies, navigation, fleet management, and integration into the digital infrastructure of the real-world laboratory. During the project, a modular safety drive control system, new concepts for omnidirectional drive systems, enhancements to charging and power supply technologies, and numerous software functions for navigation, map management, and fleet control were developed and validated. In addition, support for the VDA 5050 industry standard was implemented to enable manufacturerindependent integration of autonomous transport vehicles. The developed solutions were successfully integrated into the demonstrator system and validated under real-world laboratory conditions.
