Abstract

The second part deals with the development in Germany, starting with the sale of the first incandescent electric lamp produced in Germany in 1882. After the mechanization of the production of bulbs and tubing, and the development of the most important methods for testing of the glass and the glass parts, about 1930, the lamp industry was supplied with bulbs and tubing which exactly matched their requirements. The rise of special glasses (hard glasses, silica glasses etc.) in the production of incandescent lamps is not mentioned here. The description of this historical process for both the incandescent electric and the discharge lamps wih be published later.
