Verbundprojekt: IntWertL - Intelligente Wertschöpfungsnetzwerke für Leichtbaufahrzeuge geringer Stückzahl

Allgemeiner Schlussbericht

Abstract

The current state of science and technology is characterized by a shift from traditional vehicle development toward digital, connected, and platform-based value creation systems, particularly in the context of small-batch production and urban mobility. Against this backdrop, the IntWertL research project aimed to design and prototypically implement a digital, decentralized ecosystem for the development and production of lightweight vehicles in small batches, with the goal of enabling new forms of collaborative value creation and business models in the industrial SME sector. Methodologically, requirements from the participating stakeholders were systematically collected, engineering and production processes were modeled and transferred into a modular platform architecture, and validated through use cases from the field of municipal and commercial vehicle applications. In addition, key platform modules - such as requirements and configuration management, project creation, and support functions for engineering, procurement, and production processes - were developed step-by-step and prototyped, taking into account end-to-end data chains and integration with the Catena-X data space. The results show that a functional platform prototype for selected core processes was successfully developed and tested in simulated end-to-end scenarios, yielding key insights into the design of interfaces, role models, and data-driven process chains. In addition, scalable onboarding and partner management concepts, as well as new business and operator models for open, decentralized platform ecosystems, were developed and validated with potential users. Overall, it is clear that digital platform approaches represent a viable foundation for new forms of industrial collaboration in small-series mobility and, in particular, open up new avenues of access to complex value-added networks for small and medium-sized enterprises. The concepts and prototypes developed in the project thus contribute to the digital transformation of automotive value creation and lay the groundwork for the further technological and economic development of corresponding platform ecosystems.
