Abstract

The purpose of this report is to provide a comprehensive inventory of available digital solutions for Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and assess their maturity for practical application in cities and regions. As part of a broader initiative to enhance innovation capacity for CCA, this report supports decision-makers by identifying potential tools, platforms, and technologies that can address climate- related challenges such as rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and changing precipitation patterns.

Key findings from the analysis indicate that while there is a wide range of digital solutions available, their maturity varies significantly. Some technologies, such as early warning systems and risk modeling tools, are well-developed and widely implemented. However, other solutions, particularly those involving data-driven decision support systems, are still emerging or in early development stages.

Additionally, the adoption of these tools is often hampered by issues related to scalability, user- friendliness, and integration with existing urban infrastructure.

The report also highlights the importance of understanding the specific needs and ambitions of individual cities and regions, as well as the external environment, including stakeholders and regulatory frameworks. By tailoring digital solutions to the unique context of each area, cities and regions can maximize their effectiveness in mitigating and adapting to climate change.

Recommendations:
