Abstract
DLR's operation of the TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X missions has been supported by Airbus (formerly Astrium) under a mission support contract since 2008/2011. The last extension of the contract covers the period between 01.03.2020 and 31.03.2025. The final report at hand is provided in two parts (one for each mission) and provides a comprehensive overview of the support activities, which are divided into basic and request activities, that have been carried out during March 2020 and December 2024 with regard to the TanDEM-X satellite. The basic activities mainly include the acquisition and processing of satellite and instrument parameters, as well as the regular assessment of the satellite and instrument status, especially battery degradation, fuel supply, as well as ensuring the availability of the software development and test environments. All further activities (request activities) were only carried out upon request by the DLR Raumfahrtmanagement (RM), DLR GSOC, or the DLR IOCS institute, provided approval by the DLR RM. The request activities include detailed additional analyses, extended anomaly investigations, and major software updates.
