Abstract

The joint project “QSCALE - Enabling technologies for scalable diamond quantum sensors” aimed to research central basic technologies for the miniaturization, integration and scaling of quantum sensors based on NV centers in diamond and to evaluate them in the form of functional demonstrators. The focus of the sub-project at the University of Stuttgart was the research and laboratory prototype development of integrated interface electronics, which is the prerequisite for the compact and energy efficient realization of such sensor systems. Despite selective delays in the delivery of ASICs by external foundries, all planned milestones were achieved. The results achieved have created the basis for future miniaturized sensor platforms that enable integration into industrial applications.
