Abstract
Open science partices are essential for advancing energy research, particularly fostering transparency, collaboration, and reproducibility. This study examines openness in energy research by analyzing trends in open access (OA) publishing and data-sharing practices. The application of bibliometric methods reveals the evolution of OA publications and the utilization of data on a quantitative basis. This yields insights into current practices and the identification of gaps that must be addressed to achieve the objectives of NFDI4Energy.
