Abstract
Algorithm Engineering is concerned with the design, theoretical analysis, implementation, and experimental evaluation of algorithms. It provides methodologies and tools for designing, developing and engineering efficient algorithms, and aims at bridging the gap between theory and practice in the field of algorithmic research. Algorithm Engineering is by now an emerging discipline, gaining momentum and credibility throughout the whole research community.
