From Floppy Disks to 5-Star LOD: FAIR Research Infrastructure for NFDI4Culture
(Köln : ZB MED, 2023) Tietz, Tabea; Bruns, Oleksandra; Söhn, Linnaea; Tolksdorf, Julia; Posthumus, Etienne; Steller, Jonatan Jalle; Fliegl, Heike; Norouzi, Ebrahim; Waitelonis, Jörg; Schrade, Torsten; Sack, Harald
NFDI4Culture is establishing an infrastructure for research data on material and immaterial cultural heritage in the context of the German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) in compliance with the FAIR principles. The NFDI4Culture Knowledge Graph is developed and integrated with the Culture Information Portal to aggregate diverse and isolated data from the culture research landscape and thereby increase the discoverability, interoperability and reusability of cultural heritage data. This paper presents the research data management strategy in the long-term project NFDI4Culture, which combines a CMS and a Knowledge Graph-based infrastructure to enable an intuitive and meaningful interaction with research resources in the cultural heritage domain.

NFDI4Chem - Deliverable D3.3.1: Gap analysis report for selected repositories
(Genève : CERN, 2023) Bach, Felix; Binder, Kunigunde; Christian Bonatto, Minella; Lutz, Benjamin; Razum, Matthias
The deliverable 3.3.1 “Gap analysis report for selected repositories” aims both to identify gaps in the coverage regarding data types or disciplines and to close them through adjustments or, if necessary, new developments. In order to accomplish that, the TA3-team performed a gap analysis of the existing relevant repositories by means of individual interviews with the repository leaders. The interview consisted of a series of questions ranging from general information up to metadata standards and ontology, data contents, technical information about Authorisation and Authentication Infrastructure (AAI), API, services and functionality, operating environment as well as software architecture and workflows. The interviews will serve to establish the current degree of maturity as well as the operational fitness of the selected repositories and to derive suitable recommendations aiming to fulfil the yet missing requirements.

QuaMath – A Large-scale Implementation Program to improve Mathematics Education
(Hannover : Technische Informationsbibliothek, 2024-06-11) Hallemann, Svea
This Mini-Review introduces the QuaMath program (“Developing Quality in Mathematics classrooms and teacher professional development”). The national 10-year program aims to develop the quality of mathematics instruction and teacher professional development in collaboration with the federal states. QuaMath is conducted within the framework of the DZLM (Deutsches Zentrum für Lehrkräftebildung Mathematik (German Center for Mathematics Teacher Education, a network of 12 German universities collaborated with the IPN Leibniz-Institute for Science and Mathematics Education)). Working with teachers and practitioners, the DZLM develops, implements, and researches effective training and support programs in mathematics for teachers and early childhood educators. I address the special role of the 400 facilitators in the implementation and success of the QuaMath program. They themselves receive intense training from the Consortium of Mathematics Education Professors (DZLM).

Effects of Open Access. Literature study on empirical research 2010–2021
(Hannover : Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB), 2024) Hopf, David; Dellmann, Sarah; Hauschke, Christian; Tullney, Marco
Open access — the free availability of scholarly publications — intuitively offers many benefits. At the same time, some academics, university administrators, publishers, and political decision-makers express reservations. Many empirical studies on the effects of open access have been published in the last decade. This report provides an overview of the state of research from 2010 to 2021. The empirical results on the effects of open access help to determine the advantages and disadvantages of open access and serve as a knowledge base for academics, publishers, research funding and research performing institutions, and policy makers. This overview of current findings can inform decisions about open access and publishing strategies. In addition, this report identifies aspects of the impact of open access that are potentially highly relevant but have not yet been sufficiently studied.

SLL–SMART LOGISTICS FOR LOCALS : „Schlussbericht des Projekts Smart Logistics for Locals – SLL“
