Abstract

The German Research Platform for Zoonosen was founded in 2009 to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation between human and veterinary medicine in the field of zoonoses research. A core objective of the fourth funding phase was to strengthen synergistic cooperation between human and veterinary medicine through network activities for both senior and junior scientists. The events, which were the focus of the funding, played a decisive role in this. The work was supported by the committee work, which is an essential part of the success of the zoonoses platform and also represents one of the central tasks during the fourth funding phase already started for the Münster and Riems offices.
