MicroMATRIX - Microbial cultivation based on meta-omics assisted, targeted sorting and isolation in a customized matrix

Abstract

This project aimed to develop a cultivation pipeline to identify, enrich, and isolate previously uncultivable microorganisms from environmental samples. The Ziemert Group specifically focused on establishing computational methods for the discovery and synthesis of novel secondary metabolites in microorganisms, with particular emphasis on identifying those from previously uncultivated taxa.
