NaTec-KRH; Teilprojekt: "Entwicklung und Erprobung innovativer sowie ökologisch und ökonomisch effizienter Technik zur Offenhaltung ehemaliger militärischer Liegenschaften"

Abstract

Die Ziele des Teilprojektes der Heinz Sielmann Stiftung im Verbundprojekt "NaTec-KRH" waren die Etablierung von Monitoring- und Landschaftspflegemanagementsystemen auf dem ehemaligen Truppenübungsplatz Kyritz-Ruppiner Heide in Brandenburg. Neben der Entwicklung von fernerkundungsgestützten Methoden des Naturschutzmonitorings gemeinsam mit dem Forschungspartner GFZ war ein zentrales Projektziel die Konzeption und Entwicklung eines autonom fahrenden Mähroboters. Weitere Projektbestandteile waren Habitatmodellierungen faunistischer Leit- und Zielarten als Indikatoren der Habitatqualität, Altlastendetektion, eine Wirtschaftlichkeitsanylse von Pflegemethoden sowie die projektbegleitende Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.

The goals of the sub-project of the Heinz Sielmann Foundation in the joint project "NaTec-KRH" were the establishment of monitoring and landscape management systems on the former military training area Kyritz-Ruppiner Heide in Brandenburg. In addition to the development of remote sensing-based methods of biodiversity monitoring together with research partner GFZ, a central project goal was the conception and development of an autonomously driving heath mowing robot. Further project objectives included habitat modeling of faunistic key and target species as indicators of habitat quality, detection of ammunition, a cost-effectiveness analysis of heath management methods as well as public relations work accompanying the project.
