Abstract
Subject of the following article are fundamental considerations on physics and method for glass flaw monitoring which are basis of the design of an on-line inspection equipment for automation of quality control on the running float glass ribbon. A laser scanner based on computer-aided signal evaluation, defect size classification and link to an on-line cut-optimizing computer is described.
