Vislnfo - Visueller Zugang zu Forschungsdaten

Abstract

«Big data» and «data-driven science» are key words that in researching libraries face new challenges. To visualize large amounts of research data and visually make searchable has been studied in the project «Visual access to research data». The central element of the prototype is the Visual Visinfo catalog that allows after generating the search space on the research data an overview of characteristic curve pattern in the data collection. Project partners are the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics and the department of computer science at the TU Darmstadt, Group of Interactive Graphics.
