| dc.description.abstract | Modeling issues for the simulation of blood flow in an aortic coarctation are studied in this paper. From the physical point of view, several viscosity models for non-Newtonian fluids as well as a Newtonian fluid model will be considered. From the numerical point of view, two different turbulence models are utilized in the simulations. The impact of both, the physical and the numerical modeling, on clinically relevant biomarkers is investigated and compared. | eng |
