SUE: Self-driving urban e-shuttle

Abstract

Im vorliegenden Bericht werden die Tätigkeiten der Uedelhoven GmbH & Co. KG im Rahmen des Verbundvorhabens SUE (Self-Driving Urban E-Shuttle) dargelegt. In der Doppelfunktion als Konsortialführer und Fahrzeughersteller verantwortete die Uedelhoven GmbH & Co. KG die gesamtheitliche Projektsteuerung, die operative Koordination aller Projektbeteiligten sowie die technische Orchestrierung sämtlicher Gewerke. Es erfolgte eine grundlegende Neuentwicklung eines Fahrzeugs, welches spezifisch auf die Anforderungen eines hochautomatisierten Betriebs zugeschnitten ist. In ihrer Rolle als Initiator und Projektleiter realisierte die Uedelhoven GmbH & Co. KG durch die Bündelung aller Projektstränge eine ganzheitliche Fahrzeuglösung. Die Uedelhoven GmbH & Co. KG verantwortete hierbei das gesamte Fahrzeugkonzept sowie die vollständige technische Entwicklung, die gestalterische Ausarbeitung (Design) und die physische Fertigung mehrerer Prototypen. Ziel des Vorhabens war die Entwicklung eines hochautomatisierten und vollelektrischen People Movers für den öffentlichen Personennahverkehr. Die erfolgreiche Realisierung eines straßenzugelassenen und funktionsfähigen Prototyps schafft eine technologische Basis für zukünftige Anwendungen im Bereich der urbanen Mobilität. This report outlines the activities of Uedelhoven GmbH & Co. KG within the framework of the collaborative project SUE (Self-Driving Urban E-Shuttle). In its dual role as consortium leader and vehicle manufacturer, Uedelhoven GmbH &Co. KG was responsible for overall project management, the operational coordination of all project participants and the technical orchestration of all engineering disciplines. A fundamental redevelopment of a vehicle was carried out, which is specifically tailored to the requirements of highly automated operations. Acting in the role of initiator and project leader, Uedelhoven GmbH & Co. KG realised an integrated vehicle solution through the consolidation of all project workstreams. Within this scope, Uedelhoven GmbH & Co. KG was responsible for the entire vehicle concept as well as the complete technical development, the design and the physical manufacturing of several prototypes. The objective of the project was the development of a highly automated and fully electric people mover for public transport. The successful realisation of aroad-legal and functional prototype establishes a technological foundation for future applications in the field of urban mobility.
