Das Goportis-Kompetenzzentrum Lizenzen – ein neuer Player in der deutschen Konsortiallandschaft

Abstract

Mit jedem Verlag schließen Bibliotheken teils im Alleingang, teils als Konsortium individuelle Lizenzverträge. Die Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Bedingungen, Vertragsklauseln und Preisgestaltungen lassen den „Lizenzwald“ zu einem undurchdringlichen Dschungel werden. Das Goportis-Kompetenzzentrum Lizenzen bündelt Wissen und Erfahrungen der drei Zentralen Fachbibliotheken TIB, ZB MED und ZBW im Bereich Lizenzen, um diese dann anderen Bibliotheken zur Verfügung zu stellen. Dies geschieht in Form eines bundesweiten und fächerübergreifenden Informationsangebotes für Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekare und beinhaltet die Verhandlung von Konsortialverträgen sowie vielfältige mit dem Lizenzerwerb und der Lizenzverwaltung verbundene Dienstleistungen Libraries sign individual licence contracts with publishers, either only for themselves or within a consortium. The Goportis Competence Centre Licences compiles knowledge and experiences in the field of licences, coming from the three central specialist libraries TIB, ZB MED and ZBW, in order to put them at other libraries’ disposal. This takes the form of a nationwide and interdisciplinary information offer for librarians and contains the negotiation of consortium agreements as well as many services connected with licence acquisition and licence management.
